Course Description:
This course provides participants with an understanding of the strategies and tasks in developing a timetable for a school as well as the skills to use the relevant functions in Time Chart. In this session you will learn:
- how to install and set up Time Chart software
- how to enter and import data into Time Chart using text and data files
- how to enter new data in preparation for developing your school timetable
- the core features and layout of Time Chart so that you are proficient in its operation
- how the ‘blocking’ process works
- how to develop an effective timetable and resolve clashes
- how to generate and distribute a timetable to staff members
You will be provided with a Time Chart course guide at the start of the day which is yours to keep as an on-going reference guide, and while the day is structured as per the Course Outline below, there will be opportunities for you to ask questions thoughout the day.
What do I need to bring?
We encourage you to bring your own laptop with Time Chart installed and a copy of your current or past timetable if available. If you do not have a licenced copy of Time Chart, we will install a copy onto your laptop before the class starts. If you are not able to bring your own laptop, please contact us in advance and AMIG Systems will have a laptop ready for you to work from on the day.
